Celebrated my birthday yesterday. The big 2-7. I'm gettin' up there. It was shared amazingly with my 'rents and brother who took me out for good food and got me great gifts. What more could you ask for. Oh wait... two more days celebrating with work and friends! Life is great!
Nice to hear it's Rihanna's bday today. We've all seen the picture floating around out there which is such an incredibly sad situation. As such, I wish RiRi a tremendously fantastic birthday that I hope is shared with her dearest loved ones who spoil her on her special day.
Now it's time to put on the party clothes and continue on with my celebrations of turning another year older!
Let's have some Rihanna play us out!
Kid Cudi finally drops his Day 'n' Nite video. Somewhat cool but we've all seen these effects. I like the vibe though. Reminds me of early 80s rap videos. I can't wait to hear the album from Kid Cudi which should be coming out sometime soon!
Enjoy and thanks Peyv for posting this!
Check out the brand new spakin' video from T.I. and Justin Timberlake for "Dead and Gone". Heard this at the Grammy's and wondered if it was gonna be released soon. Should be another #1 for T.I. and most likely it'll happen before he's off to the clink.
Chairlfit did this first Kanye...
...but I have to admit you did it better.
Check out the video below for "Welcome to Heartbreak". Absolutely love this song and the video matches so well. Thank god this is out as you could tell with when I heard that the next release was See You In My Nightmares as per my post below. Apparently, Amazing's release is still in the works too as per PerezHilton.com (yay!). I think I meant Amazing in my post below with RIhanna and not Paranoid... it's all so confusing really.
Oh, also, if you have not read the new Kanye West interview in Details then you must. He is gold. Just amazing the shit that flies outta his mouth! Click here to read it.
You also must get this (Max Justus Remixes of 8 tracks off 808's & Heartbreak)! Thanks www.hardcandymusic.com!
I don't know how I feel about this being the next single from Kanye West's 808's & Heartbreaks. This was probably one of my non-favourite tracks on the album but perhaps Kanye has a plan with this track. It'll be another Jesus Walks where it wasn't a song I was particularily fond of but ended up being some artistic comment that everyone else busts a nut over. Maybe this track being a single will make me like it more and could that be his plan? Who knows. However, what happened to Paranoid being the next release with a new duet with Rihanna? I love Paranoid. Maybe that was pushed back due to Rihanna and Chris Brown "Breaking Dishes" on the weekend of the Grammy's. I'm sure she'll rise a phoenix after the sad situation which will definitely help the release hit the charts impressively when it is indeed marked a single. Chris on the other hand will be standing in line to buy his express ticket to career suicide (thank God because I never liked his bullshit music and dancing anyways). Sorry... this post was meant to be about Kanye West... also Lil' Wayne is featured on this track (please refer to my previous post about Lady GaGa on my thoughts about Lil' Wayne). Again... this post is about Kanye.
I don't know how I feel about Lady GaGa. I appreciate her hard work and respect the fact that she has a bit of a vision but I don't think her vocals necessarily match her tracks and most times she comes off to me as a bit of a try hard. Yet in theory when going through my iPod you wouldn't be surprised to see her stuff amongst my other music but for some reason when I first heard Just Dance it didn't set my heart on fire. However, when seeing the video for Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say) I have to admit that I loved the video and wished that Little Italy was more like this in NYC (it's shrinking!) but instead it looks more like North Burnaby (around where I live). Now I've had this track playing all week and it's lead me to download Just Dance to which now I apparently like all of a sudden. What is going on!?! Also, is that a hair bow in this video?
It was debuted on Kanye's blog but now it's official. "Nothing To Worry About" with it's boombastic beats and children backup singers is the first single from Peter, Bjorn & John's latest album. Check out the video below! DOOOOOPE!
I present their newest video (maybe their first too) of "Evident Utensil". Thanks The Sky Report! And no it's not your connection when you watch the video... those are actually the effects. Cool, no?
I wasn't a huge fan of the original version but I do love the Slot-A RMX of Diva by Beyonce. How do you feel?
I haven't posted a rap track in awhile it seems so here's the latest from boss "Rick Ross" with Mafia Music, naturally. I like the production of his tracks though.
Here's the video:
Thanks Gowhere Hip Hop!
